Dear Sir or Madam:

It has been brought to my attention that you have posted Elena Kagan’s senior thesis online. I must take issue with you claiming that this is an issue of transparency related to the Obama administration.

This seems to be an issue with Princeton University and I can't see how the Obama administration is directly involved in this. They nominated her, sure. Whatever she has written in the past should be able to examined and critiqued by all, however I am not sure that Princton University are acting under instructions from the Obama administration.

Of course, you may disagree with me if you like but I just can't see it. :ugeek:

It looks to be Princeton defending one of their own. Universities, particularly prestigious ones, tend to protect their past students, especially the successful ones. Perhaps Kagan herself had something to do with it?

Either way, on the surface it looks like a copyright matter as you can purchase hard copies of her thesis but just not not publish it yourself on your website as Red State did.
